karen Löffler Curso: 1o. Lic. en Educación de la Lengua Inglesa....
Psychology-UNIDAD1
is the science that studies human behavior through direct observation
of individual experimentation and study of the subconscious. Psychology is divided into multiple branches, according to the focus area you want to give; So we have the general psychology, applied, legal, educational, etc.In addition, psychology is closely related to other sciences such as
human anatomy and physiology as part of our personality is related to
the functioning of our body and especially our brain.Knowledge
of psychology is essential to address the learning processes of human
beings and therefore constitutes one of the basic tools of teaching,
whatever the areas in which it specializes. My understanding and apprehension of this science is in its early
stages, so I cannot say enough yet know the subject, but I hope to
reach a solid understanding of it with the passage of time.By
studying this subject I have tried to concentrate on the basics, that
is, those who give a general idea of what this science. To
that end, they have been very helpful summaries (applying the technique
underlined), the cards, mind maps and concept maps that have been
developed at the request of the teacher, who was able to guide us
through the maze of concepts we had to absorb. The part that made me learn and where more work invested a
considerable amount of time is the nervous system, possibly because it
is explained in great detail and covers many concepts and parts of the
human body which was never heard.Possibly
the use of photographs and illustrations have given me learning this
important part of psychology, but personal Internet search was a little
frustrating given the enormous amount of information that one is, so
that eventually reaches confuse the student if you do not have proper guidance. My study methodology is as follows: First, I do a quick reading of the section to be learned; then, with a ruler and pen of a conspicuous color, I stressing what seems to me the essence of the text information shows. After
that, using the underlined, prepare some chips containing the summary
and possibly text, accompanied with a conceptual or mental map. Finally, I perform a reading of the original text, this time aloud, stopping in sections that require some meditation. In
the case of studying with a partner, he had completed the methodology
described above with a discussion of the concepts that the text teaches
us to check our understanding of them. I think this would be a more stimulating method, although it is
subject to the distractions that inevitably occur when two or more
studies.Finally,
I can say that the study of psychology enriches our experience as
students and enables us to understand our own learning process, which I
think will eventually have a positive effect on our academic
preparation.
